On April 6, 2019, Vietcan Company in collaboration with Hanoi Eye Hospital organized the Ceremony to announce the success of the touchless eye surgery technology, Smartsurf ACE technology at Hanoi Eye Hospital. Attending the announcement ceremony were Dr. Nguyen Khac Hien, Director of Hanoi Department of Health, Dr. Vu Thi Thanh, Director of Hanoi Eye Hospital, representatives of Vietcan Company and many delegates from ophthalmology facilities in Hanoi.

Previously, when performing surgery for myopia or refractive errors, patients often had to have their corneal epithelium removed by hand or by machine, causing an impact, touching the eye, creating a suction force on the cornea.
